A Taste of the Tropics
A Taste of the Tropics in Richmond
Join horticulturist Jayton Howard for an afternoon exploring the botanical garden's new conservatory spaces filled with tropical fruit trees. You'll learn about the collection's origins and hear the stories behind these fascinating plants. Best of all, you'll get to taste a variety of tropical fruits—some you may never have encountered before. This is a hands-on learning experience designed to deepen your appreciation for tropical plants and their fruits.
The program runs for two hours and involves walking through the conservatory and working courtyard, so wear comfortable shoes you're ready to stand in. Registration is required in advance through the garden's website. Admission is $42 for members and $50 for non-members. If you need any accommodations to participate, the garden encourages you to reach out ahead of time so they can support your attendance.
