Looking to expand your indoor plant collection with something truly special? This hands-on class introduces you to African violets and their fascinating plant family, the Gesneriaceae. You'll discover what makes these plants so beloved among gardeners, learn practical care tips to keep them thriving for years, and get direct instruction from Clare Reines, the Garden's Conservatory Horticulturist who brings years of experience in plant cultivation and design. The best part? You'll leave with two freshly-potted plants to take home. During the session, you'll propagate your own gesneriad and practice repotting techniques so you know exactly how to care for your new additions. All materials are provided. Membership costs $65 for members and $81 for non-members, and registration is required ahead of time through the Garden's website.
