Autumnal Sunset: Paint a Picture in Flowers
Autumnal Sunset: Paint a Picture in Flowers in Richmond
Join instructor Kate Hugo Vernon for a two-hour floral design workshop where you'll create a beautiful centerpiece inspired by fall's most vibrant sunsets. Working with fresh seasonal blooms, foliage, and grasses, you'll discover how to build depth, movement, and color harmony in your arrangement. The Garden provides all floral materials—you just need to bring clippers and a tall, narrow container (opening no wider than 5 inches, not clear). Flower frogs (Kenzans) are strongly recommended. Whether you're brand new to flower arranging or already experienced, this class welcomes all skill levels and celebrates both creativity and personal expression.
Registration is required and costs $77 for members or $96 for non-members. If you need accessibility accommodations to participate, contact the Garden at [email protected] or 804-262-9887 x328, and they'll work with you to make adjustments. The class also offers 2 hours of elective credit toward the Garden Education Series: Floral Design Certificate for those pursuing that credential, though certificate enrollment isn't required to attend.
