Bonsai for Beginners

Learn the art of bonsai in this hands-on workshop led by Jayton Howard, the Horticulture Section Leader at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. You'll explore the rich history and origins of bonsai while mastering the fundamentals of planting and care. The best part? You'll work with your own starter bonsai throughout the session and take it home to nurture as it grows. All materials are provided, and Jayton will equip you with everything you need to successfully maintain your plant. This workshop welcomes complete beginners—no prior bonsai experience required. You'll leave feeling confident and ready to embrace your new hobby. Registration is required and costs $44 for members or $50 for non-members.
