Fall Planting for Pollinators

Join entomologist Clara Aus, manager of the Butterflies Bloom exhibit, for an afternoon dedicated to supporting local pollinators through thoughtful fall gardening. You'll discover which flowers attract butterflies and other pollinator friends, explore native plants that bloom in autumn, and learn about host plants that sustain these creatures. The class covers practical planting techniques specific to the fall season, so you can create a garden that's both beautiful and beneficial to the wildlife around you. This two-hour program includes hands-on learning with a guided walk through the Garden to observe pollinators in their natural setting. Each participant takes home a fall-blooming native plant, a selection of native seeds, and informational materials about gardening and pollinators. Registration is required online; membership pricing is $52, and general admission is $65.
