Franklin’s Factory Historic Walking Tour
Learn Franklin's industrial history on a walking tour of The Factory.
Step back in time and explore The Factory's fascinating 95-year journey from an industrial hub to one of Franklin's most vibrant community spaces. Led by the site's staff historian, you'll walk through the halls discovering the people, products, and pivotal moments that shaped this beloved landmark. Along the way, you'll get an up-close look at today's shops, restaurants, and unique experiences housed within the building. The tour includes both indoor and outdoor stops and runs rain or shine, so come prepared with comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
Tours run for one hour and are available nearly every Wednesday and Friday at 11 AM from April through October. Simply arrive 10 minutes early at The Factory x Franklin Visitor Center (located next to The White Alligator) to check in. If you'd prefer a more relaxed experience, the Sips & Stories Happy Hour Tour offers the same historical journey but departs from The Skylight on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 PM and includes a beverage. For larger groups of 6–25 people, private tours can be customized to match your interests. Contact Carris at ccampbell@holladayproperties.com for private tour bookings and questions.
