From Colonial America to Today

Join instructor David Pippin for a hands-on floral design class celebrating Early American style arrangements. You'll work with locally grown flowers to create a garden-style design using sustainable, eco-friendly methods—no traditional floral foam here. Bring a water-tight pitcher or crock (about pitcher-sized), and David will guide you through building a foliage grid foundation, then adding beautiful blooms to complete your one-of-a-kind arrangement to take home. All floral materials are provided. This two-hour class welcomes both certificate students and casual learners who want to explore colonial-era floristry with an experienced Richmond horticulturist. David is well-regarded in the local gardening community and brings genuine expertise to his teaching. Registration is required through the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden website. Member pricing is $74, and non-member admission is $92.
