GENWORTH FREE COMMUNITY DAY
Free admission day at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden—perfect for exploring gardens as a family.
Mark your calendar for a Labor Day celebration at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden with completely free admission. Spend the day exploring over 50 acres of gardens and flowers, including newly expanded areas. Kids will love the accessible Klaus Family Tree House and the Waterway splash pad in the Children's Garden, while the whole family can enjoy an outdoor art exhibition. Inside, check out multiple new art displays at the Kelly Education Center and Robins Visitor Center. The air-conditioned Library offers a cool retreat if needed.
Come prepared for warm weather with water bottles, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes—water refill stations are available throughout the grounds. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome. Note that admission is walk-up only (no advance tickets needed), and parking fills quickly, so carpooling is encouraged. Outside food isn't permitted, but the Garden Cafe and vending machines have options. Families should plan to arrive early or be flexible about timing. Garden staff and volunteers will be extra available to help. Families receiving SNAP benefits can also take advantage of discounted admission year-round with their EBT card.
