Henrico Community Authors Showcase

Meet author Chava Maimon and discover her children's book, *Cocoa's Busy Day*, which follows a lovable guinea pig and his human friend Julie through their everyday adventures. Kids will learn about guinea pig care and behavior while enjoying charming stories about friendship, compassion, and what makes these furry friends special. Maimon draws on over 25 years of personal experience with guinea pigs, combining her background as an educator and designer to create engaging content for young readers. This community authors showcase welcomes families to read, discuss, and connect with local writers and readers. It's a great opportunity for children across different age groups—from preschoolers through elementary-age kids—to interact with an author and explore books created by neighbors in the Henrico area. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. For more information about local author showcases and registration details, visit henricolibrary.org/authors, or contact the programming team.
