Henrico Community Authors Showcase

Henrico Community Authors Showcase

Meet author Narita Snead and celebrate her children's book about sports, safety, and hearing aids.

Meet Narita Snead, author of *Zola and Myles Play Sports!*, a children's book celebrating friendship, inclusivity, and confidence. The story follows Zola as she explores different sports with her friend Myles, who wears hearing aids. Together, they learn about staying safe, having fun, and advocating for themselves—proving that sports and friendship are truly for everyone. Snead, a Deaf professional and healthcare advocate, founded Zola's World Inc. to create inclusive educational resources for children and families. This community event invites families to read, discuss, and connect with local authors and fellow readers. The showcase welcomes children from preschool through early elementary ages, as well as adults. It's a casual, self-service program where community authors share their work. For additional details about author participation or the event itself, visit henricolibrary.org/authors. Questions? Contact Kimberly Bridges, Programming Librarian, at (804) 501-1929 or kbridges@henricolibrary.org. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
