Introduction to Drawing in the Manga-Anime Style

Dive into the world of Japanese manga and anime art with instructor Ahn Do, an accomplished artist and faculty member at Virginia State University. This full-day workshop welcomes anyone curious about the style, whether you've picked up a pencil before or you're brand new to drawing. You'll learn the fundamental techniques that manga and anime artists use to bring their characters and stories to life, and you'll apply those skills to develop your own artistic voice. This program is hosted by the North Park Branch Library and made possible through partnerships with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and support from the Paul Mellon Endowment and Jean Stafford Camp Memorial Fund.
