Main Library Seed Share
Swap seeds with other gardeners at Main Library Seed Share.
Get your family growing with monthly seed packets featuring native wildflowers that support pollinators and bring beauty to your garden. Each month from February through May, you'll find a new seed variety waiting at Main Library—complete with planting information and care instructions to help you succeed. This year's selection celebrates colonial-era plants native to North Carolina, including varieties inspired by historic gardens. While supplies last, stop by to collect your seeds and learn how gardening connects us to local history and nature.
The program wraps up with a Plant Swap and Garden Party in May, giving families a chance to share seedlings, swap plants, and celebrate the growing season together. Bonus seeds of the year's wildflower selection will also be available in June. It's a wonderful way to introduce kids to gardening, support local pollinators, and build nature-friendly habits—no experience needed.
