Nuestras Historias: Latinos in Richmond

This program, presented by The Valentine museum in partnership with the library, shines a light on the rich history of Latino communities throughout the Richmond region. You'll explore the varied experiences and contributions of Latinos in our area through a collection of interviews, historical objects, and photographs. The presentation highlights the stories of entrepreneurs, faith leaders, and everyday people who've helped shape and strengthen Richmond's neighborhoods and cultural fabric. This event is part of the library's Hispanic Heritage Month programming and welcomes adults, seniors, and high school students. It's a great opportunity for families with older teens to learn about local history together and gain a deeper appreciation for the diverse communities we live alongside. The program runs for one hour and takes place in the VA Meeting Room at the Varina Area Library.
