Nuestras Historias: Latinos in Richmond

The Valentine museum brings its acclaimed exhibition to the library, sharing the rich and varied stories of Latino families and leaders in the Richmond region. Through firsthand interviews, historical objects, and photographs, you'll discover how entrepreneurs, religious figures, and community builders have shaped the area's culture and identity over time. It's a meaningful way to learn about neighbors' experiences and contributions. This program is part of the library's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration and welcomes adults, teens in grades 9–12, and seniors. You'll spend an hour hearing directly from people whose work and presence have mattered to Richmond. It's a great opportunity for families to explore local history together and gain deeper appreciation for the diverse communities around you.
