Orchids 101

Orchids might seem intimidating, but they're more manageable than most people think. In this two-hour class led by Conservatory Horticulturist Clare Reines, you'll learn the essentials of orchid care, explore their fascinating history, and discover what makes different orchid varieties unique. The session includes hands-on practice repotting your own orchid, with plenty of expert guidance to set you up for success at home. You'll also tour the newly expanded Conservatory to see orchids in the collection. This class works well for anyone wanting to develop real confidence with orchid care, whether you're brand new to these plants or looking to refresh your skills. All materials are provided, and you'll take home an orchid to add to your own space. Registration is required in advance through the Garden's website. Membership pricing is $75, while non-member admission is $90.
