Pixel Art with Scratch for Teens

Your teen will dive into creative coding during this one-hour session at the Digital Media Lab. Participants will start by using Scratch, a visual programming language, to design pixel art from scratch. Once their artwork is complete, they'll learn how to write and apply code that brings their creation to life through animation. It's a hands-on blend of art and technology that introduces young programmers to how code powers interactive media. This online event welcomes middle and high school students (grades 6–12) as well as older tweens. Registration is required, and spots are limited to six participants. When you sign up, you'll provide your teen's age along with contact information, and the access link will be emailed to you before the session.
