READ to Maggie at Atlee

Does your child struggle with reading confidence? This program pairs young readers in grades K–3 with Maggie, a gentle therapy dog, for a supportive one-on-one reading session. During your 15-minute time slot, your child will read aloud to Maggie in a calm, pressure-free environment. Many kids find that reading to a friendly, non-judgmental listener helps build their fluency and love of books. To join, contact the Atlee Branch Library at 804-559-0654 or register in person. Registration is required, and spots may have limited availability, though a waiting list is maintained if the program fills up.
