READ to Maggie at Atlee

Kids in kindergarten through third grade can sign up for a special 15-minute reading session with Maggie, a therapy assistance dog. This is a great opportunity for children who might feel shy about reading aloud or need a little extra encouragement to build confidence with books. Reading to a calm, supportive animal can make the experience feel less intimidating and more enjoyable. To register, call the Atlee Branch Library at 804-559-0654 or stop by in person. Note that registration is required, and spots fill up quickly—if sessions are full, you can add your child to the waiting list.
