Sensory Friendly Nights – Downtown

Quiet, autism-friendly evening at Children's Museum of Richmond.

The Children's Museum opens its doors each month for a special evening designed with families in mind. On the third Friday of every month from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, they host a free sensory friendly night for families with children who have disabilities. When you arrive, you'll check in at the front desk, and the museum provides a cool-down room along with sensory supports to help create a comfortable experience for all visitors. This is a wonderful opportunity for your family to explore the museum's exhibits in a more relaxed setting. There's no cost to attend, making it an accessible way to enjoy quality playtime together. Whether your child needs a quieter environment or extra support during their visit, the museum is ready to welcome you with accommodations designed to make the experience enjoyable for everyone.
