Teen Hangout

Your middle and high schooler can unwind after school at this casual drop-in gathering designed for ages 12–18. The 90-minute session includes supervised activities and games to keep teens engaged and entertained. Since registration isn't required, your teen can simply show up whenever works for their schedule—no need to sign up in advance. The library staff will be on hand throughout the event to ensure a safe, welcoming environment. If your teen has specific accessibility needs or communication requirements, reach out to the Mechanicsville Branch Library ahead of time so they can make appropriate accommodations. It's a low-pressure way for teens to hang out, have fun, and connect with peers in their community.
