Teen Hangout
After-school hangout for middle & high schoolers with games, activities, and drop-in fun.
Teen Hangout gives students in middle and high school a chance to unwind after classes at the Mechanicsville Branch. The program welcomes anyone from 6th through 12th grade and runs for 90 minutes in the early evening. Library staff will be on hand to supervise, and the group will have access to various games and activities to enjoy together.
This is a casual, no-commitment way for teens to spend time with peers in a welcoming environment. You don't need to sign up ahead of time—just drop in when you can make it. If your teen has questions about the program or needs specific accommodations related to physical or communication needs, the library team is happy to help.
