Try Kinusaiga -Japanese Fabric Craft
Learn kinusaiga, a Japanese no-sew fabric art technique, at Pamunkey Regional Library.
Kinusaiga is a Japanese fabric art technique that's sometimes called "no-sew quilting" or "painting with fabric." During this session, you'll learn about this beautiful craft form, which was developed in the 1980s and draws from traditional Japanese art methods. You'll work with foam boards and fabric to create your own unique piece to take home.
This activity does require some dexterity and involves using sharp tools, so it's best suited for participants comfortable with those demands. Registration is required to attend, and the library asks that you reach out ahead of time if you have any physical or communication needs—contact ask@pamunkeylibrary.org or call the Cochrane Rockville Branch Library at 804-749-3146. Note that this event is currently at capacity, though a waiting list is available.
