VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown

VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown at Downtown Location

VCU psychology students will be on the museum floor sharing real research happening through the National Living Lab network. Led by Dr. Marcia Winter, these demonstrations give visitors a chance to see the research process in action and learn about studies being conducted by the university. Later in the season, Dr. Virginia Chu's occupational therapy team will also invite families to participate in a live study focused on children's pre-writing skills—participation is completely optional and one family at a time. You're welcome to drop by just to watch and learn, or if your family is interested, you can take part in a one-on-one study session. This is a focused research experience rather than a typical museum activity, so it offers a unique peek behind the scenes at how child development research actually happens. Your visit can be as casual or involved as you'd like.
