VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown

VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown at Downtown Location

VCU psychology students will be on the museum floor conducting research demonstrations as part of the National Living Lab network, led by Dr. Marcia Winter. You and your family are invited to observe these demonstrations and learn about the research process firsthand. Later in the semester, students will also be running a live study on children's pre-writing skills, coordinated by Dr. Virginia Chu from VCU's Department of Occupational Therapy. If you're interested, your child can participate in a one-on-one session with researchers. Keep in mind that this is a specialized research activity, not a typical museum program, and live study participation happens one family at a time. Observation is always welcome, but if you'd like your child to take part in the hands-on study, spots are limited. The demos run on select days and times throughout the semester, with some dates excluded for breaks. It's a unique chance to see real research in action and support student learning at VCU.
