VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown
VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown at Downtown Location
VCU psychology students will be on the museum floor sharing their research through live demonstrations and interactive activities. Led by Dr. Marcia Winter and later joined by Dr. Virginia Chu from VCU's Department of Occupational Therapy, these sessions explore findings from the National Living Lab network. Families are invited to observe the demonstrations, learn how researchers work, and optionally participate in studies—including one focused on children's pre-writing skills later in the semester.
This is a specialized program, not a typical museum activity, so expectations differ from regular visits. One-on-one participation in live studies is limited to one family at a time. You're welcome to drop in during scheduled hours to watch and learn, or to engage more directly if your family is interested. Sessions run on select Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the semester, with breaks during certain weeks.
