VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown

VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown at Downtown Location

VCU psychology students will be on the museum floor sharing research demonstrations led by Dr. Marcia Winter. These demos highlight findings from the National Living Lab network and give families a chance to learn about how research actually works. Later in the semester, students will also conduct a live study on children's pre-writing skills in partnership with Dr. Virginia Chu from VCU's Department of Occupational Therapy. Families are welcome to stop by and observe the demonstrations at no extra cost. If you're interested, your child can participate in a one-on-one live study (with your consent). Keep in mind this isn't a drop-in activity like other museum programs—the research sessions are individual and move at their own pace. The demos happen on multiple days and times throughout the week, so you can find a slot that works for your schedule.
