VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown

VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown at Downtown Location

VCU psychology students will be on the museum floor sharing real research happening through the National Living Lab network, led by Dr. Marcia Winter. You and your family are welcome to drop by, watch the demonstrations in action, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how research actually works. Later in the semester, there's also an opportunity to participate in a live one-on-one study about children's pre-writing skills, led by Dr. Virginia Chu from VCU's Department of Occupational Therapy—but this is completely optional and only if your family chooses to consent. This isn't a typical museum activity, so it's a unique chance for curious kids (and adults!) to see science happening firsthand. The demonstrations run several times throughout the week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with different time slots available. If you're interested in the live study piece, just know it's one family at a time, so participation is limited but meaningful.
