VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown

VCU Living Lab Research Demos – Downtown at Downtown Location

VCU psychology students will be on the museum floor conducting research demonstrations as part of the National Living Lab network, led by Dr. Marcia Winter. You and your family are welcome to stop by and observe how researchers work, learning about their studies and the research process firsthand. Later in the semester, Dr. Virginia Chu's occupational therapy team will also be conducting a live study focused on children's pre-writing skills. If your family is interested in going deeper, you can participate in a one-on-one live study session (participation requires consent). Keep in mind this isn't a drop-in activity like other museum experiences—live study sessions happen individually and one family at a time. Observation is always welcome, but spots for active participation may be limited. This is a great opportunity for curious kids to see real science in action and understand how researchers learn about child development.
