Young Writers Workshop: Crafting Your Best Essay

Young Writers Workshop: Crafting Your Best Essay

Seven-part writing workshop for grades 3–5 building essay skills and confidence.

This seven-part workshop invites third through fifth graders to develop their essay-writing skills over the course of several months. Participants will work through each stage of the writing process—from initial brainstorming through final revisions and publishing—gaining confidence and discovering their unique voice along the way. Whether your child loves telling stories or expressing their viewpoints, this series provides structured guidance to strengthen their writing abilities. Each monthly session runs between one and one-and-a-half hours, with the full program spanning September through March. To get the most from this experience, children are encouraged to attend all seven sessions. Registration is required, and you'll receive an email with the online event link once you sign up. Currently the program is full, but a waiting list is available. For questions or to join the waitlist, contact the Twin Hickory Area Library at TwinHickoryEvents@henricolibrary.org or (804) 501-1920, extension 4.
